Intuition and National Defense
In response to numerous reports from veterans of the Afghan and Iraq wars who claimed that their intuition helped them save lives, the US Department of Defense began researching intuition through multiple departments and projects. Often referred to as 'perceptual training' or 'sensemaking', intuitive perception is being studied for application in military environments for threat assessment and anticipation.
